Why Winterton?
​
​
Winterton-on-sea has a superb Fish & Chip shop, Poppies Tea room and cake shop, plus a well-stocked convenience store, Post Office and a great dog-friendly pub, and all are a very short toddle from Heidi Corner.
​
To explore beyond the village, turn right up the beach and Hemsby will give you all that a traditional English Seaside resort has to offer, with amusements, cafes, ice cream shops, RNLI giftshop and a decent pub. Turn left to experience a more peaceful, nature filled walk, and you’ll find Horsey seal colony, and the fabulous café at Waxham Barn. Further along the coast, you’ll reach Sea Palling and its Blue Flag beach and if you follow your nose even further you’ll get to Happisburgh and its iconic lighthouse.

Sometimes the only other mammals you’ll come across are the coastline’s famous Grey Seals. Do remember to look up for a glimpse of Norfolk’s wonderful birdlife, such as kestrels, skylarks and little terns

Whatever your mood, there’s a blender in the kitchen for you to make cocktails, or perhaps treat yourself to a freshly brewed coffee.
When it comes to bedtime, you’ll find we’ve put just as much thought into your comfort. The zip-link Superking can be split into 2 singles, and features a luxurious pocket sprung mattress.
In the other bedroom we have a double bed which boasts a Simba Hybrid Pro mattress, with luxury topper, so whichever bedroom you opt for, you might be tempted to have a lie-in...

If you're driving an EV or plugin hybrid, you'll probably have noticed that public chargepoints are pretty rare around here.
That's no problem for Heidi Corner guests - we've installed an untethered Rolec Wallpod charger for your exclusive use during your stay. These chargers are suitable for most vehicles, but be sure to check the Rolec website first!

Finer details
On arrival
We are the last house in the farthest corner of Marram Court and have a small shingle front garden area with driftwood features. There is parking for one car on the brick weave driveway right next to the house, with an untethered EV charger. From your car you can either go through the side gate straight into the enclosed back garden or via the front door
Hallway
Dogs are welcome upstairs, but we've fitted a bespoke hand made dog/child gate that will stop even the tiniest of chihuahuas from making it to the bed if you want it to yourself!
Downstairs cloakroom
Handy downstairs loo, with toilet, basin, towel rail and side window.
Kitchen
Lovely size, very light and airy with a view over the front courtyard, equipped with a full sized fridge/freezer, induction hob, electric oven, washing machine/ tumbledryer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, fancy bean-to-cup coffee maker, sandwich toaster and enough pots and pans, baking trays, cocktails shakers, utensils and crockery to open a small kitchenware shop!
Dining area
Part of an L shaped Lounge/diner this area has a rather special zinc topped dining table and leather chairs/bench with space for 4 to eat or play board games in comfort.
Lounge
The lounge area comprises a large & comfy chaise-end leather sofa and quirky copper coffee table (perfect for putting your feet up). There's a 50" Samsung Smart TV with an adjustable wall bracket that gives you the option to angle it to watch TV from the dining area. There's a Dimplex Sunningdale electric stove, considered to be the world's most realistic electric woodburner. It even makes the crackling noises! You can have a cosy fire without the heat in summer, and in winter you don't need to go out in the rain for logs! it's also much safer for dogs and children - no burnt fingers or singed fur. Patio doors lead out to the garden and hot tub.

Upstairs, this has a large modern bath with shower over and glass screen, a toilet and sink with storage unit, heated towel rail and Velux window.
Bedroom 1
Pocket sprung SuperKingsize bed (180 x 190cm) which can be converted into 2 singles, large wardrobe with plenty of hangers and drawer space below, front facing window with blinds. Blanket ladder and extra throws/blankets, radio alarm with phone charger and quirky lobsterpot lights. Mirror, hairdryer, Fan & suitcase stand.
Bedroom 2
Double bed with Simba Hybrid pro mattress and luxury topper, built-in storage cupboard with hanging space and shelves, Velux windows with blackout blinds. Bedside lighting and shelf with radio alarm. Tower fan and hairdryer, additional blankets/throws and suitcase stand.
Garden
Fully enclosed garden with 6ft fencing all around, comfy patio furniture on the decking, BBQ, outside lighting, fairy lights, and a pergola featuring solar powered twinkly LED lights.
Hot tub
Gorgeous bespoke enclosure with fairy lights, housing a very private 5 person hot tub. Hanging hooks for the Heidi Corner hooded robes, and easy to reach shelves
General notes
The cottage has air-source underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs. With its modern insulation you'll find that it’s warm in winter and cool in summer, with the electric stove for extra warmth if you need it. We're fully equipped with iron, ironing board, clothes horse and rotary dryer in addition to the tumble dryer. Cordless Shark vacuum for quick cleanups. High chair and cot available.
Please note that charging of devices such as E-bikes and scooters within the property is prohibited.
An EV charger is available, please do not use other sockets for charging vehicles.
